That's great, Ritle!! Keep me updated! I need to go on back to my LUV- olive oil. I've been steppibg out with Argan Oil and Argan infused products. I really dig argan oil!
I didnt pamper Cleo. I just watered her as I showered. I had some errands to run, so I just puffed her and rockef my suede newsboy cap. I really haven't detangled properly on about a week. Just haven't felt like it. I do rake my fingers through, but I owe her a nice slow detangling session. I better get my hair plans togther b4 next week bc I have to get the boy together for his bday!

Hey Luv,guess it's hair pampering time soon then. I do understand the easy going moments though, sometimes you just have so many things to do in so little time and too many things to think about. Have not tried Argan oil as yet, did hear good things about it though, might give it a try some day.
As for my hair, I am still loving the conditioner, so I will probably get a few more bottles, that way I won't be running out any time soon.

Awww, thanky kindly, Ritle-Skittle for the boy bday love! I still can't believe my baby will be 9!! Preps are going well. Finishing touches on Monday. So, I can breathe!
I'm really glad u found a good product for moisture! I hope it treats u real good!
Look at Nay!! U are so on the growth train! WL this year fo' sho'! Since the Hubby showred me with hair gifts awhile back, I am now sitting with Loreal Smooth Intense Conndish w/ Oleo- Kertain under a shower cap in four buns. I luv the smell and creamy consistency! I put Ojon's Inntensive Hydrating 2 min Hair Mask on dry hair before the Loreal. Now, I don't do a dc for small amounts of time, so it prolly was on for an hr. I didn't like the feel of Cleo, so I decided to keep the Loreal on for awhile and wash out in a few.
I did finger detangle and got out some shed hairs. Cleo felt really knotty while wearing her curly. So, I figured that my girl would be tangle city. So, I'm going to let this condiish sit for a good minute before I take the wide toothed comb to her.
I decided to go straight for my nappiversary, so once I finish detangling, I'll moisturize each bun section with argan oil hydrating moisturizer and plait to dry and stretch Cleo. Tomorrow, I'll take down plaits, add PM Straight Works to each bun and blowdry with comb attachment. I'll get the Hubby to flatiron for me before he goes to work.

*peeks into thread*
No stones please.
I just wanted to come and see how my happy hair growin ladies were doing and obviously you all are doing pretty good!
I haven't really done anything spectacular to my hair in the past...month besides the normal and keeping it protected in big marley twists. They're coming down in about 2 or 3 days and then I'll be moving into my next protective style which I'm kinda in between doing senegalese twists or mini braids on my natural hair. I said yarn braids but the prep time is too long for me. I'm trying to keep my hair away so that I can retain everything because in april I'm going to be trimming away another .5 inch (hopefully my last .5 inch) so that I can start seeing my healthy ends again! And then I'll be going back into more constant protective styling until the end of June and hopefully by that time I won't have to do anymore big trims or anything, but we'll see. As of right now, not much but nothing bad either. =) Just bored I guess.

Hey Ladybugs! Since we have a snow day (yesss) and I'm nursing a cold, I decided to drop in and see what's up and update a lil. But, first, let me talk to K!
K, ain't nobody got time to be throwing stones at you! I'm just pleased as punch that you and Miss Nessie are doing well and dropped in! LOL! I hope you gget those ends and inches you crave soon!!!
Well, my 9th nappiversary and my boy's 9th bday coincide each year, so I usually have to do my celebrating after I recover from his festivities, which were awesome. But, I have been battling a cold, so I haven't taken too many hair pics to celebrate. But, I did straighten her and found a new trick to get the straight look I want!
Ok, I don't know if any of you gals have experienced this when it comes to straightening thick hair, but I have. Y'all know I am learning how to blowdry and straighten my hair w/o my stylist. I tend to be all thumbs with tools, but somehow. I get decent(not optimal) results. I cannot.get Cleo bone straight via blowdrying. I can't work without a comb attachment. My roots also stay wavy after blowdrying too. So, although Cleo's straight, the crown area is not flat, so I have more body in my press, which I don't mind, but I wanted to see if I could do a more sleek look too.
Hubby pressed me intially and I didn't like the crown. Now, when he pressed me he used my 1/2 in. Iron and these gloss drops(forgot the name). So, about 3 days later, I found my Rusk Heatfreak 1 in. Iron and MATRIX EXQUISITE OIL- I FELL IN LOVE!! The press and oil combo, plus scarfing my crown area gave me THE PRESS OF LIFE!! LOL!!
Ladies, Cleo is flowing and tickling my back. She looks healthy and thick! The oil gives her magnificent bling and she smells wonderfully!! I am pleased! I will take some pics and post this weekend once I set my new laptop up(yess)!

Im currently grazing WL,& hoping that I can break through (Lord willing) by the end of this month. :) once I make my goal, I plan on trimming off maybe an inch around December (Lord willing) just so my ends can be pretty decent. Sometimes it still gets to me that I actually grew my hair out this long! :-D I remember running around with towels on my head when I was a child, pretending that I had long hair. Lol & when I was a permie, it never grew past SL, & I dont think it was a "real" SL, probably more like NL.
Staple Products -Shea butter -Crisco -Safflower,castor & coconut oil -Black soap -Aloe vera juice -Yes to cucumber/carrots body butter -Silkience conditioner -Garnier fructis come clean conditioner -Cure care salon conditioner(protein)
Regimen basics(depending on style) -4th week/shampoo with homemade black soap -1st,2nd,3rd,5th week/water rinse & condition -finger detangle before washing by spritz hair with a water/conditioner/oil mix in a spray bottle & use an added nickel sized amount of oil to detangle the sections. -wash & detangle hair in 9 braided sections. -pre poo with my oil mix or crisco/coconut oil cream -rinse deep conditioner out with cold water -moisturize as needed with aloe/water spritz -use braids (20) to stretch hair after washing -on soap wash days, put oil on the crown of my head ontop of the lather to help prevent fuzzies :) -protein treat on week 3 -wear low manipulation & simple styles -braid the roots to keep down tangles -have not detangled w/ a comb or any tool since Sept 2012,not planning to either anytime soon :)
