Hi ladies!! I just wanted to share a NY treasure with y'all, If you frequent the weave section then you would've seen my hair rant about my stylist. Recently I've kicked my stylist to the curb and I've been on the look out for a knowledge stylist that would be passionate about my hair as I am.

My best friends mom suggested this salon to me and I decided to go out on a limb and give it a shot. I've decided to post an indept review on the salon and my experience. The owner of the salon name is Nicole, she has been in the business 27 years and is a wealth of knowledge.

My wait time to get in her chair was 10 minutes (on a Saturday morning). She asked me to tell her about my hair and what problems I've been having. she nodded and listened, she never interrupted me and waited until I was completely done. Then she part my hair and looked my scalp and did a strand test on various sections she gave me her assessment and what she thought would be my best course of action to bring my hair back to optimum health.

She recommends a duo treatment to address my scalp issue and my hair issue. She brought me reading material of exactly what would be put in my hair and it's ingredients (NO parabeans, sulfates, petroleum or mineral oils) This Salon uses phytospecific which is an high end product line that is made from plant extracts and herbs. It took her salon 8 years to get approve to carry this line.

Hair detox: Nicole performed a hair detox on me.She explain it was a way to start fresh, to take off any product that might be damaging my hair. she distributed a hair oil from phyto (smelled like mint and eucalyptus) on my scalp and along my hair shaft and gave me the best scalp massage I've ever had in my life. She took her time and massage my scalp for ten minutes, and then put me under the steamer and wash it out.

While washing and treating my hair she explain in detail every product she was using and why it was beneficial for my hair. She made me feel at ease and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience the only con I can think of was the wash station... I was uncomfortable in the chair and there was a slight gap which got my clothes wet but it wouldn't deter me from going back.

Also They don't do blow outs or flat iron which might be a deterrent for some people but I was thrilled to learn they are anti direct heat.

Lastly, they have a specialist that comes from phytospecifics every month to examine their customers hair under a microscope to tell you exactly why your hair is breaking/shedding etc and it's absolutely FREE.COM. I've seen ladies on other sites sending their hair to be analyzed for like 400 dollars. I will be have my analysis on February 8th so I'll keep you posted on exactly what I am told

Total cost for detox, steam treatment, wash and set and trim $40.00
