Topic: A Cure for Dry Skin!!! Posted: Mar 11 2010 at 10:50am |

I had problem with dry skin for awhile, I was at a modeling camp and a good remedy for treating dry skin I learned is to put baby oil on you while your in the shower or tub. As you rinse off you can tell a big difference. Especially once you dry off!!!!

Hi,
Here are few tips on how to cure dry skin.
# Use a lot of oils in your skin such as pure Vitamin E oil found in
health stores (such as Vitamin Shoppe) Olive Oil, almond oil, baby oil
or Avon's Skin So soft bath oil after showering.
# Dry skin can be caused by a deficiency of Vitamin A- Consider supplementing with
Cod Liver Oil- a good source of Vitamin A and D.
# Use Aloe Vera lotion or Cocoa butter lotion as often as needed, after
showering or taking a bath, and before going outdoors in the cold
weather.
# Try not to shower with hot water all the time. Use warm water for your
skin. Don't use harsh soaps for your skin, use milder body wash or
milder soaps such as Dove and Oil of Olay.
Hope this helps you..!!

Quick, warm showers followed by applying pure jojoba oil afterwards is working for me so far. I got some jojoba oil from the bss but it had others oils and a fragrance in it which broke my skin out. So, I tried a pure one I got at Whole Foods and love it so far!

So, the jojoba oil seemed to be working but now it's breaking me out too. My face is a mess! I'm now trying Aubrey Organics face cream for sensitive skin #6. I kept the receipt in case this doesn't work either.

I love all these tips. I've suffered from dry skin my whole life and keeping skin moisturized is key.

My fav moisturizer/lotion is Eucerin. It keeps the face glowing without the greasy look.
