I have done yarn braids three times this year. I tried to do the yarn twists but they kept loosening and just didn't look right to me. I would twist them really tight to keep it from loosening, but when I would let go to burn the ends, it would happen again. I gave up and did the braids. Has anybody ever had or considered having yarn twists? I love yarn braids, but am thinking of trying out yarn twists. They don't look as much like locs, IMO, but theyre a nice look
