Just saying extreme caution is needed for putting things in your eyes or nose (as opposed to other mucous membranes with more robust natural defenses.  Personally I wouldn't put even organic honey in my eyes, unless maybe it was certified ie treated for that use

People have gotten deadly infections from netti pots using something as basic as water 

Plus we're talking about eyesight... Harder to recover from/fix than if you used honey on other mucous membranes ... a skin rash, stomach infection/upset or even a yeast infection

Just because you do not use it, doesn't mean it is unsafe for use.

I don't agree with their reasoning, but honey has been used and is STILLU
being used in the eyes for numerous ailments. If it is filtered and heated correctly, then there are no worries about contamination if used cautiously and practically ::researched and first hand experience post::
before I start using it as a holistic treatment for dry eyes, I did months worth of research and digging...not once did I see anything past a minor allergic reaction someone had that made their eyes red and watery, but cleared up the next day on its own. I see no danger chemically...mentally I question.

Coconut water is sterile enough to be used in an iv solution but I wouldn't use canned coconut water from the store in an iv, personally

just because you can use it one way doesnt mean it should be used another.
you can put aloe vera in ur hair and on your skin but it doesnt mean you should pour it directly into your eyes. its not as if they are drinking it to change their eye color they are applying it directly to their eyes on a frequent basis.

Also, you dont know if they're using the correct forms of the substances, for all we know they could have squirted some honey in a cup and mixed with msm,threw it in the microwave and dropped it into their eyes. Them doing it on their own without professional advice is dangerous and that's all there is to it.
