You got it twisted. Human compassion is what allows us to feel what the bystanders must have experienced instead of separating ourselves from "them" and scolding "those people on the platform."

We have two views of what is it to be compassionate. I hope if anything of the sort ever happens to you, God forbid, you'll understand it's their human compassion that's keeping them from saving you! God bless :)

I disagree. Folks keep saying Somebody should've helped. Photographer is catching the most flack because he got himself involved by taking a pic. Idk how folks can be mad at the other people on the platform. That in and of itself is a lack empathy. No one knows for sure what she would've done.
Slightly off topic, but it would be great if engineers could come up with some sort of emergency brakes for trains. It would still require quick reflexes to signal the driver and then for the driver to brake.

I can see how he very well may not have been able to help Han.

Should he have taken the photos? I wouldnt have, but I cant definitively say he was wrong for taking them.

The photographer isnt guilty of anything IMO except moral judgement in selling the photos.

I think about situations often, because I'm in the city just about everyday. what would I do if this happens or if that happens. Not too long ago a old lady was pushed on the tracks and a bunch of teens saved her...it is possible.
 

I think I would've laid on my stomach to prevent myself from being dragged down by his weight and I would've pulled for dear life...my heart is broken for him & the conductor who had no choice but to witness his demise...


Thank God for ppl like those teens.

In situations like these if I'm ever faced with it I pray that I won't freeze .
