girl, i have a hair stylist friend who can blow out any texture completely straight. I think it's all in the technique. She uses an ion round brush, takes small sections ( as if you were flat-ironing), and slowing moving down the hair shaft with the hair pressed between round brush and blow dryer ( with a concentrator attachment). My hair breaks if you just look at it wrong for the most part unless it's a day after a protein treatment. Are there any flat irons (ones with heat control because i like to keep my heat under 250 if i can) that aren't AS bad for pressing and not as expensive as a CHI? I was considering the instyler but I'm having a hard time obtaining one without paying a fortune.
 
I only flat iron once or twice a year due to the delicacy of my hair, but I need it pressed for a photo shoot and i don't dare get it professionally done because those tools just get entirely too hot.
 
 Any ideas?
