You have a lot more knowledge, than i did when i first came to these boards, thus you have the "secret" to getting rectifying this stylists' mistake.

Setbacks are nothing but a chance to learn from our mistakes.  And i'm very sure, you won't go back to that stylist again.:)

Thank you so much for your responses. I am definitely going to baby my hair for the next few months at least. I deep conditioned again tonight and I have been moisturizing and sealing, cowashing daily, and wearing it in a bun when I leave the house for the last week and a half.

I definitely won't be using heat for a long time as I feel scared of it now. But I am really happy that my hair reverted back to it's natural state because I was frightened that it would be full of straight pieces but all the curls came right back after shampooing when i washed it.

So, I've been wearing my hair straightened for the last month or so getting it straightened on a weekly basis which I know is a lot of heat but I was also deep conditioning before straightening. I usually wear my hair natural or under a wig and I really take care of it.

But my hair has been fine with it with literally no breaking. So I went out of town to a really two weeks ago and my hair got wet and I literally had nothing to my hair with, no products to even wear it natural and nowhere to purchase anything. I ended up finding a black salon in the next salon and she used no leave-in or heat protectant whatsoever because they didn't have any in the shop.

She straightened my hair completely naked and it was literally the most beautiful press/flat iron I ever had which was shocking.  It was extremely shiny, weightless and had so much movement. My hair is dyed and the coppery honey color was gleaming like a new penny. But I noticed the next day that it was literally breaking off everywhere but especially in the middle of my head. Every time I touched it, it would break and then I couldn't stop touching it and stop breaking it off. It was sick. I've literally never done anything like that and got obsessed with touching/breaking my hair looking at it and feeling sad that it broke off.
 
When I got home two days later, I deep conditioned for about three hours with Joico Moisture Recovery Balm and then used the Aphogee Keratin Green Tea Restructorizer and Laico Lacio Leave In. It really worked to stop the breakage as my hair isn't breaking at all anymore.

I know that it is just hair and it will grow but I am really disappointed with myself and by this setback. Cry
