I can't believe people actually cosigned this. It was abuse, plain and simple. It isn't spoiled to think you have a right to go to bed without being watched or that you should be allowed to live without being tracked. I don't see how it's ungrateful. Who knows what kind of mental anguish that type of lifestyle was causing.

So let me get this straight, if your parents would have paid your college tuition, you would have been okay with them placing tracking technology on your phone, requiring you to check in with them via skype, and watching you while you were sleeping?

And lets say you decided not to check in via skype, hence attempting to "cut your ties appropriately and moving on". Would it be okay for your parents to pop up while you are on stage during a performance and cause such a disturbance that the college recognizes it enough to attempt to provide you with security from your own damn parents?

But if you don't abide by these terms, you are ungrateful?
Then after all of the checking in and being monitored, you're still being accused of being a drug user and a whore?

How is this being ungrateful?

In addition, the father is afraid of her mental state, not because they are running her half crazy, not because of a definite diagnosis of a mental illness, but because of a history of suicide in the family...WTF?

Yeah, I think a restraining order was very appropriate!

I get that they're parents, but they crossed the parental line and went into the voyeuristic and stalker zone. Not even a prison ward goes that far on prisoners. The fact that they tried to cry that the girl is crazy and threatened to have her locked up and "treated" against her will clearly screams her parents are nuts and aren't doing this to be "good parents" alone.
