that aside...i'd donate to causes that I care about and i'd help take care of a few fams.  I'm not saying i'd take care of them all the way but i'd top off their bank account once a month and try to set up a portfolio in their name so eventually me toping off their account would be unnecessary.

 

i'd own a boutique.....just because that's something i'd want to own.  Plus it would be a platform for me to put my own designs in there.  I'd not "work" their but....yeah.

 

i'd like to think I would volunteer but to keep it real....I can't say with a certainty that I would.

 

i'd take classes...in whatever interests me.  Especially a language class.

 

 

oh and...i'd make sure to buy land in various places.

It'd be like Neverland...but less kid friendly.

You reminded me. I've always said I want a big ass country style house with a bunch of land in the back so that I could have a bunch of animals and a garden of fresh fruit and vegetables. I'd probably invest my time in that just to have something to do if I was wealthy.

I'd probably do a little work just to keep my mind occupied that way I'm not sitting home bored all the time.

I'd put the wheels in motion for strategic black cultural advancement on various levels through various means ... including branding, education, etc

Caribbean microfinance and business education ... help foster sustainable industries and income from sources other than tourism and agriculture

bring more of my ideas into patents and reality

wealthy or not, relatively, personally I would keep a lot of liquid cash, secure long term investments and gather assets as I come across them

The only money Id spend on frivolities (non-assets like clothes, shoes, products, vehicles, home decorating/maintenance, vacations) would come from interest ... and I'd also reinvest at least 10% of the interest in short term investments like CDs, bonds, speculative stock 

Wise to buy at least one home outright, pay off all debt except leverage debt but keep that percentage relatively low vs your income (not your net worth)

Depending on how wealthy ... a franchise might make sense if you don't have keen business sense or the background, an original idea and you want an investment that consistently yields more than 8%

I have a bunch of other things I'd do but I've already typed into the ;tldr territory
