Honestly, I did have one that stayed mursty it was embarrassing because people would be sniffing around our direction and I didn't want them to think it was me. I didn't know how to tell her so I made a gift basket with deodorant, body spray, and soaps . if she always smells like that, she probably has a colostomy bag.  and more than likely she isn't going to want to just come out and tell the world that she has a "shyt bag" on her tummy.  i actually feel bad for her b/c she's young and has to go through this.  If you are her friend, maybe you can bring up colostomies and see if she'll be willing to talk about hers.
