With straight long hair..... nobody really speaks to meCry...women get kinda bitchy like i woke up on their side of the bed...men stare but say nothing
With a sleek, severe bun, people seem more...idunno...respectful;? guarded? --- oh, and black men seem to have no love for buns unless its bigLOL
With my natural hair, when i had twistouts, nobody said anything, they just kinda stared.... and stared --i cant really recall what the actual attitudes were, but they werent negative...i do recall some compliments

My hair is worn out in its natural state 99.9% of the time. White people call it cool. White people at work want to know about it. I get compliments mostly from other naturals or white ppl. Other naturals always want to know what I use in my hair. One of my black male friends loves it..actually 2 of them do. My hubby loves it. My step dad told me "I have some oils that will make Ur hair grow". long/straight = white women love it
long/curly = black men/women and white men love it
my natural curly hair = black men/women like it

I get way more attention w curly hair...I prefer straight hair though.

Hispanics love my chinese deep wave and coarse yaki

all types of men and women loved my 28 inch KS and my 18 inch coarse yaki's.
 
latinos especially loved my 18 inch yaki'd kinky curly
 
my boy likes my body waves and 3c curly units (he's Indian....from Trinidad)
 
my 12 inch coarse yaki's -  it was meh all around
 
my 28 inch CVR's  all men and white women loved it and complemented it.  majority black women were steeped in salt
 
my bald head  majority white men and a few afrocentric playas would try to holla.  Black women think that i'm gay or transitioning.  White women think I have/had cancer.
 
 
so yeah...*shrugs* different hair, different reactions.

Since ppl around school all started going natural at the same time we compliment each other on blowout hair alot .
Alot of black women my age compliment me on the length it's getting from skin bald to now lol.
