Actually i know a lot of guys who change too. And not necessarily for the better. The worst offenders are those who fall off the face of the earth when in a relationship and turn into hermits. Like, I'm happy that they're in good relationships, but at the same time you can't act like now that you're in a relationship, no one and nothing else matters. It's good to maintain a sense of self beyond your mate.

I think so, but it should be for the better. I don't want to use the word change, but should a relationship improve a person? Hell yes! 

I believe the best relationships are the ones in with the SO naturally improves the other person. Where there other person is a better person with them in their lives. Not where they have to change who they are, or become someone new in an artificial way, like a switch.

Yes, good and bad.  I've seen people mature and gain a sense of purpose because of a relationship.  I've also seen a person who was outgoing and confident become very insecure and introverted because of an abusive relationship.
