Thank you --and YES, time is moving!

@LUV2TEACH, thank you!

@wadadliqueen thank you! I am grateful to have survived. Labor is violent!LOLOuch

@lexis thank you!

@sweetnovember I haven't even experienced it personally yet. Unless my head has been burried in the sand I am noticing this recently online toward families that look like ours. There is one woman in particular that I am subbed to named Gabe who vlogs her family and that was when I 1st noticed it. Am I late to the party, or does anyone else here lurk on lipstick alley? They are no joke over thereOuch
As far as the struggle it's unnecessary. We have so many options--despite what the media pushes, men of all back rounds are interested in courtship and marriage. In our case our faith was what brought us together and holds us together. When I look at him I see a man, not a white man. When he looks at me he sees his wife, not a black woman. He doesn't make me feel "other" he never has.

A zolloh thank you!! I am not sure what is going on, but I didn't see an s in the link.
I will post a clickable link, hopefully it will work;

You should register the baby for kindergarten now !! OMG . Rare to see a 6 month old baby walk and hold his head up straight lol . I would sign a contact with Geber and retire . You guys are really a beautiful example of a family . Inside and out . Heart
PS . What was the name of the lady you post about during your hair journey that wrote a book ? TIA

Just wondering, how long did it take you to get him on a normal schedule as far as eating, sleeping, etc?

LOL yes he is relieved and so am I!! After i had him I couldn't see myself ever feeling normal again.
It took me 2 days. I don't talk about this much because
I know it comes off mean. What I did was keep him up all day, no long 3-4 hour naps. It was VERY rough for both of us the 1st 2 days. I allowed him 2 naps during the day, no longer than 40 minutes to an hour. if he slept beyond 40-60 min during the day I would wake him. He did not like that. So he was crabby and irritable all day.

By 9pm he was so tired he went down without a fight. I would give him his bath at 8, read to him, feed him and he would put himself down, lol. I didn't see this advice anywhere online, but it's how I have always reset my clock. Thankfully it worked on him. I started this at the beginning of April, so he was just barely 4 months. He's been sleeping through the night ever since-----well up until recently when these teeth started to cut through. Now I dote on him and let him nap 2-3 hours during the day twice since he is miserable. Sol now for the last 2 weeks he has been sleeping from anywhere from midnight to 10am, or from 5am to 2pm. I am not complaining because I am getting a lot more rest!

Once these teeth emerge we will go back to the 8-10pm bed time. I liked being a morning person!Tongue

@afrokock, thank you!Star

@ danieb thank you so much! I have been wanting a child for a long time and being an older mom makes me appreciate it all the more.

@cocoa, thank you, lol. that picLOL

@khivey thank you kindly!

@sweetnovember, didn't it FLY by?! I actually miss him being a newborn. Yeah he is proud--he told me it was a boy the entire pregnancy and was all matter of fact when we found out it was indeed a boy. His words "I know what I did."LOL  I am looking forward to seeing him change and grow. One thing that saddens me is online, (especially reading the comments on youtube vlogs) I am seeing an automatic assumption that Black women who marry and have babies with white men went out of their way to marry out and have mixed kids. @sexibeach, thank youI have at one point or another been interested in men from every group, except middle eastern. The assumption that those of us who marry out have an ulterior motive is hurtful. I have to admit I am sincerely surprised that he came out looking the way he does. We were both expecting my husband to experience this but the shoe is on my foot. I go back and forth between being amused by people's reactions and annoyed. He is a spitting image of my husband as a child, but with my nose--though mine was a bit wider as a baby.

@concreterose; THANK you! He is for the most part a happy child! He has not had even so much as a runny nose since birth, so it'll be interesting to see how his disposition changes during illness. This teething process has been a trial for him, but I don't wanna give him oragel. Holding him seems to help a lot and keeping him stimulated with activities, teething rings and toys. Overall he is a very silly and laid back little boy though.Tongue

@sexibeach, thank you!! Yes seeing him everyday I don't really notice it, but looking back on old pics he was so tiny compared to now!!!Ouch It just goes way too fast.

Okay see now I don't feel bad for thinking about doing something similar to get my little one to sleep at night because I swear I've been so tired because of her wanting to be up at night. I felt like I'd be mean as heck to try to keep her up all day though even though I've tried some of everything to get her on a consistent schedule.
