hub used to eat them rare if he cooked it himself. I don't think he trusted that in a restaurant though. You have to make sure it was cooked at a certain temp and I guess you can't be sure of that  in a restaurant.

I wouldn't like steak either if I ate them medium well or well. In fact I never really saw the hype until I cooked a medium steak for myself.

Objectively speaking, you ruin the cut of the meat, stripping away the flavor and making it indistinguishable from any other cut of steak when it's cooked past medium.

I'm still medium well, rare is quite tender but I can not with blood

The red isn't blood, it's protein and water. Beef is drained of it's blood when it's processed.

My family calls the steak when it's rare "new york style" cause thats where theyre from lol

rare depending on how lean the cut of meat is

i also enjoy tar-tare though...has to be quality meat though

Medium well all the time now. I used to do just well, but it's too hard and dry.
