BUMP!!!!

How is everyone doing?

1. In Feb I got a new job.
2. I have paid off my credit card!
3. I have passed my PMP (project management) certification exam! (Which now qualifies me for more money in my field so I may be looking...we'll see) - I'll make a spin off thread on this. :)
4. FINALLY launching my business. I'm currently working on my business plan and I've set a date to be launched by Sept 1.

How easy, how hard was it? I was up for a project management assignment but passed because it wasnt my expertise, but they were willing to train and train me to get my PMP but I figured I woudnt need it since my background is accounting.

1Sleepy I am working on this right now. It's just so hard because there are no healthy choices of food at my school. But I have been working out... off an on. But it's been better than the past. I started meditating which helps so much with staying focused on my goals (very similar to the law of attraction). I suggest it for anyone struggling to stick to something.

2Ouch I haven't really been trying though. Im not too worried about money right now, as I am about money in the future. I'd rather take a non-payed internship in my intended field than get a paid job with something I hate. So Im working on that right now. Applied to some places but haven't really been proactive like I should.

3Cry Yeah, this was a lofty goal. I had a hard time adjusting to college and my grades were bad (fukk a C+). Since my gpa was bad, getting into the Business school (jr year) is a lot tougher. So i decided to make my major econ instead. Honestly, i think it's a blessing in disguise because econ is such a better major. But I've been so much better this semester. I don't expect any bad grades. I will be sure to study hard for finals.

4.Big smile Ultimately, Im enjoying my life. Yes, I have some off days.. but for the most part Im happy

5. I decided to make french my minor. I couldn't get into any classes this semester, but Im set for next semester. So I expect to be fine in this sense.
So much better than even 2 months ago it's really amazing. IDK what it is, but I really had an epiphany or something. Im working harder and smarter to achieve my goals instead of being passive about them.

3 and 5 haven't changed at all and probably wont until school starts back up again.

1. I've gotten so much better at. I became a polo pescetarian and will soon be giving up chicken too. My lifestyle has changed a lot. I've always worked out, Im just eating healthier than I ever have in my life. And I can tell it's a lifestyle change because I can be offered cake, pie and ice cream and say no easily. Also, late night cravings have gone away. It was hard at first, but it got easy quick.

2. I got my first job!! So Im finally making money. I also have an online venture Im working on now that Im excited for. should be good because it's doing something I like. Blogging, affiliate marketing etc just isn't what I like to do so I would kinda start and quit. I feel like this will work out since I do it for fun anyway.

4. I've actually been doing this a lot better too. Try to not take a day for granted. And even if I do have a down day, I make the best of it.

2. Finish my master's degree and get a job that will pay me enough to live on 50% and save 50%.
3. Open up my housing campus for former foster youth.
4. Continue to take myself out of consumer culture. Also finish decluttering and minimizing my possessions.
5. Move out of my parents house and get a dog.

1. This is a daily work in progress. If the healthcare law is struck down by the supreme court I'll lose my health insurance so I've been trying to get in to see as many docs as possible to figure things out. Gotta get my eating/exercise/sleep/stress under control though.

2. Trying to figure out whether a degree is really worth it for me and my goals. On hold for now. Am living on more like 75% at the moment. I will be asking for a raise at my next review though.

3. Still want this to happen but starting smaller with another initiative. Will have it up and running this summer.

4. Just gave away a bed set and sleeping bag today. Taking books to work for our library this week. Continually working on this. We should have a "today I gave away..." thread so people can be motivated.

5. Staying with parents...need the support...need the free rent. But will be out by 30 (in 4 years).

its definitely NOT easy however its held in very high regard much like the CPA.  If they were going to train to you...i would have definitely done it.

the exam is hard but the actual work is probably something similar to what you do now,. For example...wedding planners are essentially project managers. they don't make the cake or arrange the flowers...they just make sure it gets done.
