It happens. Many women have "brands" that they date to as well. |
what are some brands? |
Old, rich and powerful. The "next" [insert name of politician, athlete, rapper, etc.]. A showstopper, a man who everyone wants to be or wants to know. Alpha male. Intellectual powerhouse. Among many others.
A white woman who I went to grad school with said that she would be the first lady of SOMETHING, a senator's wife, a governor's wife, a president's wife, so she only dated men with those ambitions. Lo and behold she became a senator's wife.
It also depends on whether the woman is a brand herself, like Beyonce, Rihanna, etc. or is looking to complete someone else's.
Women who are looking to convey a very particular image to the world want to have a partner who will help them portray that image more effectively.
