MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -
The mother of three who battled cancer alongside
her daughters returned home to Memphis on Friday evening, excited to be
home despite not having a home to which she could return.
Elnora Blackledge-Lee's house caught fire while she and her 10-year-old daughter, Jayla, were in Boston for cancer treatments.
"I don't know how to get comfortable, but just being home makes me feel better," said Elnora.
Three of Elnora's daughters have battled cancerous tumors in their eyes. But what's more, Elnora is a cancer survivor herself.
WMC Action News 5 met the remarkably resilient family last summer, sharing their story as they fought cancer together.
"We've heard people are rallying in Memphis and it makes me feel good to be home," Elnora added.
