Is your twa around three inches, my natural hair, pre-bc, is 3 inches stretched straight. I want to see how my other sistas with short n sassy styles are rockin their hair or used to when it was this short! How long is your hair, how do you style and maintain it.

Today, out of sheer impatience and bordome, I cut a CHUNK out of the side of my head! Just taking the relaxed part off so I could better vizualize my soon to be twa. I found a WONDERFUL combination to DEFINE my curl, stretch it and keep it moisturized.

1.wet hair so it is wet, not just damp, but thoroughly wet
2.Apply a good amount of (moistur)ologie infusium 23 conditioner
3. Rewet the hair some more with (moistur)ologie infusium 23 leave in treatment on top of the conditioner
4. apply alot of fantasia IC gel so that the hair stays kind of straight after you run it through your hair because of the weight
5. Run a CLASSIC D3 denman brush, holding it  VERTICALLY, down you hair one good time from root to tip. Dont hold it horizontally like you normally would when brushing straight hair, that will make the denman not work as good it your hair is as kinky as mine.

After running the denman through one good time, you should instantly see clumpage and definition! If you want to keep a good amount of shrinkage then you can go about you day afterwards to stretch your curls for length reasons go to step six.

6. Pull it tips of the hair and use a diffuser or regular ole blow drier to dry it quickly and stretch the pattern. Only pull it as taught so that you curl stretches to wear you like it otherwize, your hair will be straight.

Hi Ladies! I just posted a thread over in my "Official Natural and Transitioning Hairstyles" thread just for you!  Here's the link and here's the content of my last post:  (I'm including links and pics throughout the thread for all of us, from TWA to locs. So please take a look through some of them at your leisure. I pray that it is a blessing for ALL natural/transitioning sistahs regardless of length.)

For all my sistahs rocking the TWA, here are some styling ideas:

Click HERE!  Scroll through the individual threads and you will find many great and cute styling ideas for your TWA. Some of the links are dead, but not many in relative comparison to the number of styles provided.  Thank you ladies of Nappturality!

Here is a nice youtube video of TWA hairstyles.

Click HERE!  Be patient in the beginning, she's talking about some other things. You can watch or just fast forward through to the hairstyles which begin at 5:31

ENJOY! Hug
