I just turned 30 last Fall, and I love it.

My 20s were fun, but I've reached my stride now and can do more as well.

Happiness is just one of those subjective things. I'm 23 so yeah I'm young but everyday I wake up happy to be alive, happy to have a roof over my head and happy to be around people who love and respect me. Life isn't perfect but when has it ever been?

I don't ever see that changing, I know my future is bright...it would be nice to have some stability though, I guess that could only make me happier.

At 43, I'm definitely happier than in my 20's. For me in particular, I had a lot of self esteem issues, didn't believe in myself, and required validation from other sources. That decade was the most turbulent for me as far as self & relationships goes....

Now that I'm older and wiser, I feel more relaxed and in control. I know what I want, do what I want, knowing that I don't have to take anyone's crap if I don't want to, and get to actually enjoy life! Now, I can look back and appreciate, instead of loathe, those experiences because all that got me to where I am. Smile

On the other hand, I do think it's a matter of perspective. Some see 40's as the end, others see it as a beginning. It's all in how you choose to overcome certain challenges and situations before then.

I wouldn't know about 40s as I am still in my 20s, but I'll say late 20s is better than early 20s. I have more common sense now. I was a stupid young person.

I don't know. It's all very subjective. There are advantages and disadvantages to every era and personal trajectory will influence this as well. My 20's were great. My 30's sucked. My 40's are picking up and I know myself better.

I'm 30 now and so much more sure of myself than when I was in my 20s. My 40s should definitely be interesting.
