I have been bad with my vitamins and forgot to take it on multiple occasions but now I am trying to be back on track and take it daily.
I restarted the inverse technique yesterday, and will be uploading an updated picture after Christmas.
Hopefully I will be waist length by the time the challenge is over, but if not, I will continue the first months of 2014, until I accomplish it, and then I will try for hip length.

Count me in!!!

Background:

I used to be a heavy PS with weave girl. However, I wasn't able to moisturize my hair as often as I needed to so I wound up with split ends. As my hair was growing, I was trimming (uggh). I made up my mind two mths ago to wear my hair out so that I can wash/moisturize as needed.

Currently: Somewhere between BSL and MBL. (Going to salon this weekend for roller set. Will post pics then)

Goal: MBL by my bday (April 29). WL by July 2014

Regimen:

-Wash/DC - Once a week
-Moisturize/Seal - Twice daily
-Oil scalp - Once every 3 days
-Protein - Once every 6 weeks
- NO HEAT!! I've been heat free for 2mths! Yay! I've been doing wet sets with CurlFormers once a week. I set on Sundays and the style lasts me until the following Sunday and then I just repeat the process.

Products: Wen! Oil, DC, Cleansing Conditioner, mist, balm. With the exception of my setting lotion, Protein treatment and Organix DC and Shampoo (which I use once every 2-3 mths), I am an exclusive Wen girl. Ever since I've started doing weekly washes and eliminated heat, my hair has flourished. I swear by it.

Vitamins: Super B Complex (Contains 30mcg of Biotin). May buy a separate Biotin supplement.

Looking forward to 2014. I expect to be back at my goal length of hip length but as a natural this year. I. am. SO excited! My thickness is surprising and scaring me at the same time. I love it tho. And once I'm in maintenance mode, I'll be wearing my hair out more and experimenting with various styles. This is going to be a challenge for me because I'm so used to protective styling and NOT getting used to my natural hair at longer lengths. For sure, I'm gonna need a 12-step program. For sure.

I'm not really sure whether I'll flat iron my hair at the end of the year or not. Honestly, I'm not patient enough and am a little intimidated by the job. If not, I may flat iron at least the back portion of my hair to see where I am.

Anyone else not flat ironing, not out of the health of your hair but because it's just too much?

I'm not even gonna front. I'm scurred. This is what I'm working with.
