Well you burn more calories the higher your heartrate is.
I like to be around 160-165 which is the "cardio zone."

How long do you keep your heartrate that high? An entire hour? Lord...I'd die.  I think my heart rate goes higher than that after spinning.  Once after that class, I had to get on an elliptical to cool down/bring my heart rate down...for an hourSleepy
