Hi...you are not alone...I did my first round in the Fall and it seemed like I can count the days I DIDN'T have my period on one hand! I was really scared the drops were screwing up my reproductive system but my naturopathic practitioner looked into everything, and she said no worries. She believed that all the fat being moved around and discharged from my body was releasing YEARS of toxins and hormones. The surge in toxins & hormones put my reproductive system into overdrive therefore causing me to constantly menstruate.
I am on round 2 now and have had my period for the last 11 days...sigh. I am going to my reproductive endocrinologist for my yearly checkup, blood tests, etc. when I am finished this round. I can let you know if she finds anything wrong but that won't be until the middle to end of March.
(missy from what ive read on other forums (3FC) estrogen is released from fat cells)

Thanks Southern........ I posted on the HCGDietforum and I'm awaiting a response. Maybe I didn't wait long enough without the injection. It could be stress related too. Externally, my stress is controlled but internally I know it's there. Evaluating......
ETA:
OOHHHHHHHH, that would make sense..... I am estrogen dominant (hence the fibroids and cysts). I also take supplements (Vitalzym/DIM/selenium/iodine) to aid in releasing of the estrogen and balance my progesterone/estrogen ratio. I will prolly keep injecting and ride this out......

It's the hormones.
Women store estrogen in our fat cells. As we lose weight, that estrogen is released into our bodies. With rapid fat loss, like what happens on IP, LOTS of estrogen gets released which can wreak havoc on our moods and our cycles.
I actually skipped a period my first month on IP, then had two in one month, both heavy and extra crampy. It's evened out now and I'm pretty much back to normal, but man that was not a fun two months! |
this is a post I found that I made when I was on IP diet. so it's not just hCG.
month 2. normally i have a consistently 28 day cycle. came in 2 weeks early |

a 2 page thread about fertility, pcos, insulin, TOM, and the IP diet
the reason I include info from the IP diet is because it is also a rapid fat loss program (claims 3-7 lbs per week) and many of the women had TOM related issues as well

I learned that our fat cells hold estrogen. When you start to lose weight it can cause your TOM to change. I have been on the depo for 4 years and rarely have a period. When I started the South Beach Diet I spotted for 3 weeks had 1 week off and then had a heavy period for a week and a half. Right at the end of it I found I lost 6 lbs. I find right before I started I didn't lose much at all...I'm hoping now that I've gone through this craziness things will start to even out. Only time will tell. |

Missy I really hope everything is okay. I sounds like there is a lot of information to support that this is normal but contact your doctor if you're concern. Our health is no joke. This has been a low week for me 4oz released today and I was really on point yesterday. I've been ill since Monday with this bug going around. I'm blaming the slow release on it. I have to stay encouraged because stuff like this causes me to backslide into my old ways of eating. Stay strong over the weekend ladies we deserve all of this good we're doing for our bodies so make good choices.
