hi everyone,
i will be starting hcg diet soon...here's my story.
i just delivered a beautiful baby boy via emerg c-section. i gained a min-modest amoutn of weight during pregnancy, once delivered and all the water weight and everything else came off i motored down the scale to 188, i felt great and was looking forward to droping ~ 20-25 pounds to get to about low 160s and just hold steady there until things settled down, i look healthy at that weight especially with working out.
but it seemed as soon as i touched 188 my weight started creeping back up again, i started going to the bathroom less and less, feeling bloated again as i did pre-pregnancy, started taking laxatives for relief etc...my weight just kept going up. now my baby is 4 months and im back up to almost my weight i was when i delievered just shy of 210! my stomach is huge, i feel humungous, i can't keep the weight from climbing on a daily basis.
so i finally saw a naturopath last week and she recommended that i start the hcg diet, she took bw and confirmed no thyroid issues. i breastfeed my son so i will have to stop, which i think both he and i are ready to do anyway (its been so beautiful to bf him exclusively like this, and at 40+ i'm pretty proud of myself!

) but i'm convinced the breastfeeding is the reason my metabolism has completely halted and for the sake of my own health i want to stop before things really get out of control.
so once i can wean him, i'll be joining you girls and hope for some success...i'm goign to likely go on the 53 day cycle...i hope to lose ~ 30+ pounds and then just maintain on my own until back to work in oct/nov.
