poor baby, with a dumb ass like that for a mom he didnt stand a chance.

She's hurting enough jeez she lost her child because of her mistake.

I do agree all zoos shouldn't have open enclosures like this but it still doesn't take blame from the mother.

I hope eventually she gets some peach of mind, because it won't come quickly or easily.

@ the bolded. I don't care, she's stupid and irresponsible and her child had to pay for that. people always doing dumb shyt and then want sympathy.

On NBC News:

No visitors on the observation deck saw the child fall into the exhibit, Baker said.

The zoo was closed for the day while police and zoo officials investigate.

Authorities didn't immediately release the name of the boy or his mother, but say she is 34 years old and lives in Pleasant Hills, just outside Pittsburgh. The boy's father arrived on the scene soon after the accident, police said.

So really there were no actual witnesses who saw the boy fall?  Only the mother's account?  Don't want to go there but.....

They are investigating all of this.

What you think this was planned?

And yes smasion she is but there's no point of tearing her down more. She knows what she did and sh the one that has to carry the burden of it for the rest of her life.

Idc, I still have sympathy for her because she lost her child and its even worse because it was at her own hands. I don't see the point of throwing more negativity and name callin her way.

It just like the woman in the flood.
