Having lived in Detroit most of my life I wouldn't call that a riot. All I've seen is the one store burning and then after and a car flipped.

I agree with wonder that doing this doesnt get their attention. At least not in the way they expect. Yes it shows frustration but one would have to assume they care that you are in the first place. There are large areas of Detroit that look as if the riots weee yesterday and not 40+ yrs ago.

why did they put his body on a cop car? Why didn't the ambulance take him? I bet they are going to put something in his pocket and claim he was stealing.

Yes but if they continue rioting and occupying the street in front of the police station, carrying posters, shouting for justice, etc for days, the media won't be able to pretend anymore that it isn't happening. The Watts Riots lasted about a week, almost 50 years ago. They should do the same.

This whole thing is just disgusting to me.
Like we are seriously having to come up with plans and guidelines of how not to be slain in public and just live well.

Like we're seriously game planning for this bullsht

FBI steps into probe of unarmed Mo. teen's shooting

FERGUSON, Mo. — The FBI took over the investigation Monday of a weekend shooting in which an officer here killed an unarmed 18-year-old.

The St. Louis County NAACP, which will have a meeting for area residents at 6 p.m. CT Monday, had called for the FBI to investigate the death of Michael "Mike" Brown, shot multiple times Saturday after police say he was involved in a scuffle with an officer and another person in this predominantly black St. Louis suburb.

"It is our hope that this discussion will provide accurate and reliable information to be shared with the community," Esther Haywood, president of the county's NAACP, said in a statement. "Our expectation is to educate the public on the NAACP's strategy toward justice for the Brown family and the community."

The St. Louis County executive and Ferguson police chief also they welcomed FBI involvement. Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon also said Monday that he requested an independent U.S. Department of Justice investigation.

"I ask St. Louis County residents to exercise patience and respect for their neighbors as federal authorities work to get to the bottom of what happened," Nixon said in a statement.

Chaos, Looting In Ferguson, Missouri, After Teen Is Killed By Police

The fatal shooting Saturday of an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, sparked outrage Sunday night as stores near the scene of the incident, including a liquor store and gas station, were looted while police in riot gear tried to control the crowd, CNN reported

"Witnesses reported seeing people vandalize police cars and kick in windows," the Associated Press said. "Television footage showed windows busted out of a TV station van."

The protests come after thousands of people gathered Sunday night at a candlelight vigil for 18-year-old Michael Brown, who police say assaulted an officer before he was shot to death, according to CNN.

Witnesses dispute that account — they say Brown was unarmed and had his hands up when a police officer fired.

"I saw him turn around with his arms up in the air and they shot him in his face and chest and he went down unarmed," bystander Piaget Crenshaw told ABC News.

Brown, who was set to begin college on Monday, was walking to his grandmother's house when the shooting happened. Brown's family and other residents are now calling for a full investigation into the incident.

Why do ppl feel the need to mention the black on black crimes as if it excuses the fact that we're out here being slaughtered. I'm so sick of the ignorance. Why do ppl always feel the need to be "above" when sh*t like this goes down? Making dumb ahh comments.

Anonymous made a statement:

"Anonymous demands that the Congressional Representatives and Senators from Missouri introduce legislation entitled “Mike Brown’s Law” that will set strict national standards for police conduct in the USA. We further demand that this new law include specific language to grant the victims of police violence the same rights and prerogatives that are already enjoyed nationwide by the victims of other violent criminals. The Equal Protection clause of the US Constitution demands nothing less.

To the good people of Ferguson, take heart – and take your streets. You are not alone, we will support you in every way possible. Occupy every square inch of your city. Open your homes and help in any way you can the protesters who will come to your city from every part of Missouri and the USA. Businesses and householders that are near protest rallies, open your WiFi routers so that live streamers and other independent journalists can use the Internet connections. Feed each other, keep each other safe – and stay in the streets until we are totally victorious in all our demands.

To the Ferguson Police Department and any other jurisdictions who are deployed to the protests: we are watching you very closely. If you abuse, harass – or harm in any way the protesters in Ferguson we will take every web based asset of your departments and governments off line. That is not a threat, it is a promise. If you attack the protesters, we will attack every server and computer you have. We will dox and release the personal information on every single member of the Ferguson Police Department, as well as any other jurisdiction that participates in the abuse. We will seize all your databases and E-Mail spools and dump them on the Internet. This is your only warning."
