Your argument is a bit like those who claim racism doesn't exist or isn't a problem because it's never happened to them. I wish you safe travels in Chicago.

i used to think outlawing guns would help but americans don't give a damn about laws in general. I am sure we are the biggest consumer of every illicit drug on the planet, although illegal. making it illegal just served to put black men in prison and make rappers like Jay-Z rich from talking about it. same thing happens with guns. chicago and dc have very strict gun laws but that doesn't solve anything when 30 minute drive over the boarder you can buy a gun with no ID.
