LONG BEACH, CALIF. — A San Pedro woman accused of accompanying her daughter to an after-school fight with a second girl was charged Tuesday with assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury.

Amber Lee Gutierrez, 33, was arrested Tuesday for her alleged involvement in a prearranged fight in a West Gaffey Street alley after school on January 14.

Gutierrez is being held on $100,000 bond.

If convicted as charged, Gutierrez faces a possible maximum state prison term of seven years.

The LAPD says it is continuing its investigation.
