Ppl are subjectively naming the US, and using corruption in layman's terms.
There is such a thing as political corruption and If the term is applied with even a tiny but of objectivity I don't know how or why ppl expect the USA to be in the top ten.

For the Americans saying this I believe it has to do with lack of perception. Americana tend to live in their own little world and don't realize that it gets much much worse...

That list didn’t say THE most corrupt. It means these 10
are among others just as corrupt....so the US still got space to make the list
but seriously, who else is on the list?
