My son is a one year old and he has very curly dry hair. It grows fine up top but not growing that much around the sides and back. Can someone recommend hair products that would help his hair grow? I dont want to try too many different products on his head. Also products that are inexpensive. I'm on a tight budget.

Does he normally sleep on his back with his head turned to the side or straight?  If so, that's probably why his hair isn't growing in and it will grown in once he gets older and starts to sleep on his stomach.  This happened to my youngest son and once he started sleeping on his stomach more, his hair filled in about a month or so.  I use a light oil on my boy's hair, nothing too heavy.

Since he's one, why not just start getting him faded up?
